What are the chemicals in the commercially available ones? Are they really safe? Do you know any natural eye makeup removers?

i use nivea, i dont know about its chemical composition and if it is safe but i do know it really works..
put eyemake up remover on a cotton pad and place on your eye for a few seconds, this will break down the mascra so then you can gently wipe it off ensuring you dont pull any lashes out...

i use vasaline! sound odd, but amazingly it works! ive been using it for about a year now and the skin on and around my eye is smooth and soft! give it a go!

petriolium jelly wich i use vasiline . put some on a cotton ball and wipe slowlly your eyes it really works and it doesent bother you or it doesent burn

baby oil

it's even safe for a baby! =) it's cheap and you don't use up a lot which helps the bottle last longer.

I use baby oil and it works really good. I have been doing this for years and its never harmed my eyes......The most important thing is that you do remove it because that will cause you more harm.
