Default Which is better to remove makeup? Makeup remover or water?

I like using water, and nothing else cause it seems more natural.

Actually, I think it really depends on what type of makeup you're removing. Maybe sometimes makeup remover is appropriate or water is appropriate.

I like using water to remove my mascara--wetting a piece of paper towel to remove mascara works great for me .

Oil actually removes all types of mascara and eye makeup. I clean my face in steps .First removing eye make up with a cotton ball with baby oil on it.Step 2 is to wash with soap and water. Step 3 is a thin layer of moisturizer.I have different zones that are oilier so I use an oil free moisturizer.

ya i like using water too but sometimes my eyeliner and mascara have stubborn smudges so i dab a little bit of makeup remover to remove it. and plus i like knowing that all the makeup is off so there is no dirt, oil or make-up still there i mean u never know. sometimes u cant see it lyk u think its all off but there are still some traces left! i use cetaphil skin cleanser it removes my makeup and cleans my skin at the same time!!! hope this helped

I use baby oil. Water doesn't seem to move my mascara too easily unless I scrub which is a no no. It's soft, cheap and doesn't cause acne.

I prefer makeup remover, just because it's easier and more clean. I recommend the Sonia Kashuk makeup remover from Target. It's cheap too.

Its better to go with water rather than any remover. If at all still the cosmetic due remains then use a piece of lemon along with water and wash it off.

I'm an advocate of soap and water to ensure my pores dont clog, which water doesn't always affectively do alone. But remover for mascara.

I would recommend the Neutrogena oil free makeup remover

it's oil free (duh!) so it doesn't make skin greasy and it doesn't sting your eyes.

Hope this helps!!

Good old fashion vaseline...thats how my mom, grandma, and great grandma did it. =] Just glob some on each eyelid, rub it in really good, and wipe it off with a piece of toilet tissue. But, for on the go make-up removal, try Olay Wipes.

a makeup remover would be better because some small particle could not be cleared when rinse with water and you may get pimple and thats really... ewww
