Default Concealer, Foundation, Powder...?

Whats the differences and purposes of them? Do you always have to use all 3?

Concealer = Conceals redness, acne, etc..
Foundation = A gross liquid that clogs your pores. But sometimes comes in a powder, like I.D. BareMinerals.
Powder = Well, it's powder of course. You put on your face. Dur.

I only use my powder foundation and a translucent powder. I use concealer if needed. You don't have to use all three, it just depends on what you look like without make up, y'know?

Concealer covers dark marks or deep color spots with a thick color, foundation is used for an overall evening effect on skin tone and Powder is used for an overall evening effect on skin tone along with cutting down on shininess giving you a matte finish to your skin. I use foundation as my concealer and powder because i have blotchy skin and oily skin so the foundation covers under eye dark rings and overall blotchiness while the powder keeps my skin from being shiny.

Concealer- covers any blemishes/discolorations
Foundation- evens out skin tone. comes in liquid or powder. most people who use liquid foundation put a translucent powder over it to make it last longer

You definitely dont have to use all, just use whichever youd like. Hope this helps

I like using a powder foundation..it's 1 step. Before I would put foundation, then powder to cover.

concealer is good for covering dark circles, other problem areas.

first of all... no you do not have to use all 3.

concealer is mainly for covering dark circles or bags around the eye area, or to cover dark spots on the face, like acne scars, sunspots etc

foundation is used mostly to even skin tone and to make it look clear and blemish free. Also, some foundations offer spf against the sun and also they can have either mattifying or hydrating properties that can be of use depending on your skin type ( oily, dry etc)

powder can be used alone to even skin tone, or to set your foundation to give it a clean, finished look. also, powder is great for those with oilier skins as it normally has mattifying properties and can be used for touch ups on any oily parts of your face throughout the day.

hope this helps!
