When I was a teenager, my Dermatologist used to recommend that I use hypoallergenic brands that won't add more problems to teen acne problems. I used Almay but I always used a good brand of skin care products to keep my face clear and fresh looking. I would try a non-oily moisturizer simply because it helps makeup go on better, then follow-up with the shade of Almay makeup that is closest to your natural skin color. I would also recommend that you buy the oil absorbing tissues to blot your t-zone and any extra oil from your face.
I used Almay or Neutrogena products on my face, but since them, the line of Physician's Formula Mineral Wear has come out. It is also another good brand that Dermatologist recommended to me. But the most important thing to remember is to never sleep in your makeup.
Please take all of it off every night before you go to bed or if you can, as soon as you get home from school if you are in for the night. All of the brands that I mentioned are easy on teenage or adult skin and they have a bunch of different products for every skin type.
The last thing I want to mention is Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF70. This is a real must for fair-skinned teens to keep the burning rays of the sun from damaging your skin. I always use it when I leave the house, even now and if I don't wear make-up on top of it. All of this is reasonably priced, much more so than Clinique. I also tried Clinique when I was young and while I really didn't have a big problem using it, I was also under the care of a Dermatologist and also on oral antibiotics and had a prescription antibiotic lotion in a bottle to apply to my freshly washed face.
Make sure you do not use too much scrub on your face because when used two or three times a week is fine, when used every single day, it can actually cause your skin to flare up. For that I would recommend using one of the following scrubs: Neutrogena Clear Pore or their Scrub/Mask which can be used easily in the shower. That seems to help my sixteen year old son a lot and he only has acne or pimples once in a while, but not all the time.
I hope this is of some help to you. Best of luck! ?
