mac provides really good coverage but its not so great for the skin. I would use it to cover up the pimples the makeup itself caused... it was a vicious cycle...

I love Mary Kay, but have not tried mac. The more you moisturize, the more natural your makeup will look on you

mary kay is really the best of the two. and they have several different kinds of foundation. they have liquid foundation that controls oil, and they have a product that you can use alone or under your make-up that makes your skin really matte to help control excess oil.
they've just come out with a really good mineral foundation too.
I've used both mac and mary kay, and you will definitely get the more natural feeling make-up from mary kay. = )
