i am filipino (with olive skin), have uneven skin tone, oiliness, and some acne scarring. it's hard for me to find the 'perfect' makeup [one that doesn't make me breakout/look unnaturally pale]. i don't really have that much money to spend. `>.<

for me I just use covergirl powder. It takes the shine away covers up a little but keeps your face looking natural at the same time. You dont want to look plastic. All Natural is the new style. Guys dont want a fake looking girl but a girl that is confident no matter how she looks.
