Default Applying Liquid Foundation: with Fingers? Sponge? or Brush?

whats the best way ?

with fingers , its hard to blend most times...

i heard alot of people say "sponge", but it kinda dosnt make sense cuz its a SPONGE, a sponge SOAKS UP and u basically waste the foundation stuck inside, a makeup artist said this to me and i think its true.

so the last option is a brush...which i think is probably the best...what do u think?

it's not a regular sponge.. it's a make-up sponge, you can find them pretty much anywhere ((wal-mart, walgreens, k-mart....etc)) and they are made especially for make up, especially foundation. it doesn't soak the make up up... if anything a brush would do that even more than a makeup sponge... it is also true that it is best, it gives and even look without looking blotchy. fingers have bacteria which can clog poures.

ps
a foundation brush is mainly for powder foundation, if that's what your using then my answer is all backwards for you! lol

I love the way sponges evenly spread out the foundation, however so much bacteria builds up in them. I've actually been told NOT to use them, unless you're going to immediately dispose of them. I think your fingers are the best bet, but as mentioned before, if you use a powder foundation, you should use a brush. The powder foundations are very quick and give you a natural look---great for the daytime. Philosophy has an awesome powder foundation.

first of all make sure you're using the right sponge. It's the white triangular sponge you should be using. I believe sponge works best out of all.

I would say a combo of all three, the least used being your fingers. Application is a lot easier with a foundation brush, but sometimes you'll find that it can be streaky (depending on the quality of the foundation and also your skin's condition) - so you will want to use a sponge to sort of blend and smudge the make-up well. Fingers may be used on occasion to pat/blend in harder areas (like the corners of your eyes).

for liquid foundation don't use a brush because it will get all clumped up in the bristles, i use my fingers and then you rub your hands together so that they are hot and dab then allover your face, it will remove the excess foundation.

yes it's true that sponge soaks up most of the foundation but it is still the easiest to use.Well, at least for me, I feel that i have control of it....
then it should be fingers, cause you feel the quantity as you apply, so it is also a very good tool.. but i don't like it cause it gets my foundation and everything else messy..
....and i think that brushes is very hardest to control if you don't know how to blend them... or you might get streaks of foundation on your face...

So if you can't blend your foundation well, even with your own fingers.. I don't think that you should go for brushes... It is one of the hardest to use... Try sponge, although you might waste as much foundation as what you apply to your face but at least it's even and easy-to-use...
