what kind of make up should i wear? (eye shadow)?

what kind of make up do yall recommend for an 8th grade dance? my eyes are not very big, and not small. they are dark brown and my skin is medum,. can yall help please?

also should I wear alot of eye liner on not? what looks better eye liner in the botton of the eye or ontop? thankks again....
