I have always believed from selling makeup in the past, that
the shades of eye shadow should compliment the colors of
what you are wearing. And definitely not clash. I've never
matched my eye shadow to my eye color. However with
brown eyes, you can wear alot of colors that may not be as
complimentary to someone with blue eyes. Brown eyes are
flattered by warm tones or fall colors. Like different shades of
browns and golds, amber, and a combination of cream under
the brow and a darker shade of a light brown on the lid. With
an even darker streak of medium brown in the lid crease. All
blended from one to the other smudged so that there isn't
a line of demarcation firmly set.
I think greens would be pretty also. Light in color and a
frosted shade in the evening, if you are wearing green to
highlight the colors in your outfit. Remember that the lighter
shades will highlight, and the darker will hide. So if you have
a heavier or puffier area under the brow, you'd want to use
a darker hue than a lighter one that would emphasize it
more.
