It depends on your skin tone, but what I'd recogmend (a friend showed me how). Is take like, a blue. Start with a light blue at the bottom of your eye to about a lil bit. Then a little bit darker blue to the middle, then another little bit darker blue to the rest of the eye. Then, take your blush brush and blend all 3 together. and you have an "air-bursh" effect. i dont like makeup, but i do like that tip.

I would suggest going to a make up counter and having them show you how to apply eyeshadow. There are so many good colors to use. If you do not wear it often you may want to start out with browns or grays/silver. Start out with a soft neutral color and apply to the entire lid and add a darker color to the bottom or center of lid.

Eyeshadow will only look as good as the finishing touches so be sure to get a good eyeliner and mascara.

You'll want to put the darkest, or most concentrated, eyeshadow in the crease above your eye (the top of your eyeball) and then go lighter until you reach your eyelid.

I find that the best color for green eyes is usually a purple, red, or light brown because it draws out color. Green and blues usually don't.

Make sure you don't use too much and don't put it on all the way up to the eyebrows. Also, eyeliner looks great on people, so you might want to buy some of that (black). Good luck!

To not look cheap, it's usually best to stick with earth tones. An ivory color on the brow bone and taupe on the lid is the simplest and most effective way to acheive a makeup look without a lot of fuss. For a more glamorous effect, try lining the eyes in a rich brown pencil, and black mascarra. Taupes and bronzes look great on blue eyes. For the green in your eyes, use a purple mixed with the taupe. The purple will bring out the green since they are opposite on the color wheel.

well
contrast in colors make your eyes pop.
first use like a light shimmery tan to the lid and up to the eyebrow line
dont use anything to noticeable though
then apply a color that maybe matches your outfit
thats light, not dark, and apply it to right around the lash line and up to about the crease of your eye.
eyeliner helps alot to
i apply mine uner, on the eyelash line [thin] and under my eyelashes on top.
contrast is a major thing.
light versus dark
good luck ?

Well, I'm not gonna give you many tips, but I'll give you one very important tip which I discovered myself.

They brush you use for applying your shadow makes all the difference! I have this perfectly green Lancome eye shadow which everyone comments on (positively of course) when I wear it. I just use its original brush when applying it. Once, my sister borrowed it from me and it looked gray on her! We didn't know why that was so to begin with. But after some investigation, I found that she had used a cheap brush to apply it. When she changed the brush, it looked as perfect on her as it looks on me!

And beware of using your finger to apply eye shadow - the beautiful color ends up on your finger while you get a dull looking color over your eyes.

Hope my secret tip helps you. :-)
