in face.? I am fair-complected, but have a bit of a tan from summer. My mineral makeup does a pretty good job of covering the redness. I have blonde hair, green eyes. I'm going to a formal "Paint the town Red" themed event. When I tried the red lipstick with the red dress, it looked horrible. I don't have huge lips, but they are plump enough. I looked like nothing but a set of red lips in a red dress. Way too bright! What other options do I have?

Wear a darker red because it will draw more attention to the dress but is less noticeable. As for the redness in your face, my mom has the same problem and she uses this green lotion to neutralize redness and then puts foundation on over that. But don't worry about being too "out there" with your makeup. Bold is fun!
