Is it save to leave traces of lipsticks on the lips after many hours?

usually at the end of the day, I find the lipstick starts to fade and only left traces of it on the lips. And I do forget to wipe it off sometimes when I come home from work , even dozed off to sleep when too tired. Which product do you use for removing your traces of lipsticks....any good and nice fragrant ones../
