I would like a red lipstick that's high quality, and that's not too blue-ish or too orangey. I've heard that Russian Red by MAC is good---has anyone ever tried that? What brand do you recommend?

Russian Red is a really nice color. However, when it comes to choosing a red, you have to go with something that goes with your skin's undretones. Just because the red has to compliment them. Your best bet will probably be to go to a Makeup counter and try a few shades. Chilli is another really nice red, Viva Glam 2 is a nice one too (and it contributes to the MAC aids fund). Go and try it, i'm sure you will find your perfect shade at MAC, since they have so many to choose from
