Default Looking for good skin care regimen for oily/ance prone/sensitive skin?

I'm almost 24 years old, and have suffered from moderate acne since I was 14. I find that Proactiv works really well to clear up and diminesh the problem temporarily. When using MAC makeup, it works well to keep it looking not so dry, however it just fuels my acne problem continually. When using Bare Minerals, I don't break out hardly at all, but the flakes and dryness of Proactiv become much more visibly evident. I want to slowly ween myself off of Proactiv. It has done its job, and now I'm using a more natual makeup. But I want some good, serious, tried and true suggestions of what works well for very fair, oily/large pores, acne prone, sensistive skin. My little sister (age 13) uses Biore, and I must say it works well for her. I understand that nothing is a perfect cure. But I would like to substitute the harsh Proactiv with something more natural and gentle, yet effective enough that my skin can continue on healthy.

I keep my acne prone/rosacea skin looking great with Philosophy products. The common misconception is to strip away all oils wil oily skin. But all skin needs oil to stay looking supple and not flake so badly! They have some amazing products like "hope in a jar" and their fash wash/ makeup remover "purity" is amazing!!!

cetaphil is a soap for sensitive skin, and every dermatologist i've gone to has recommended it. i use st. ives apricot scrub instead. it works much better for me, and they have different formulas for oily skin, dry, sensitive, etc. to work with your skin type.

oh, have you tried physician's formula makeup? it's talc-free and doesn't make my skin break out.

all those things can be found at walmart, target, CVS, walgreens, etc. proactive is expensive =/

Post
