Default Can protein conditioners take out hair color?

I recently had my hair bleached, so I've been using a protein conditioner every week to try to strengthen it. I also use Manic Panic, which is a semi-permanent hair color. My problem is it seems like every time I use the protein conditioner, it takes a lot of color out of my hair (much more than what normally washes out). Is this normal? Or should I try switching brands? Any affordable brand suggestions would help too.

Look for conditions that specify for coloured or bleached hair. The more you pay the better they probably are.
