Re: To African American women, what is a great shampoo to use with exteremly dry hair
Many people love Cream of Nature. I personally stopped using that one because overtime it started leaving build up for me. But, don't let that stop you from trying it. So many black women swear by this one. They have different formulas, but there is an ultra moisturizing one.
You may want to clarify your hair, too. Sometimes that helps. One lather with a clarifying/chelating shampoo like Kenra. Then one lather with your moisturizing shampoo.
I am using sulfate free shampoos right now. I like the ABBA line (Creme Moist and Moisture Sensations) and I use EO clarifying shampoo. But, I am not really dealing with any major dryness. I am not sure if they are necessarily good for that. Still, I think that the fact that I use sulfate free shampoos along with deep conditioning help eliminate dryness.
I love my FHI flatiron. I have the 207RVI model. It is wonderful!
