Does Leave in conditioner make hair look silky and soft??

my hair is naturally thick and i try to straighten it but it always looks soooo frizzy and puffy after 10 mins. whould leave in conditioner make it soft and silky and stop frizzys?? if so wht kind?? thanks!!
