I LOVE the way it makes my hair smell good and not like styling chemicals. But I'm worried that it will work like washing your hair with a bare of soap and leave a filmy residue.

If your hair isn't chemically treated ( Perm,Color) then you should be fine. I wouldn't worry about build up as much as stripping the hair if natural oil and it drying out. If it seems to do that I would discontinue or use conditioner.

It is not PH balanced for your hair, wont do any damage to the hair, and it might not rinse out very well causing a build up over time.

It is a bad idea to wash your hair with a body wash. There are some chemicals in body wash that are not meant for your hair.

i actually buy my hubby the axe that is hair and body wash you can buy it at walmart or any drug store but it really doesnt hurt your hair

Some body washes are different than others. Some have moisturizers in the some dont. Mine has moisturizer in it and I used it as shampoo and my hair definitely didnt really feel clean. In the end its up to you....its your hair!
