What's the best texturizer/pomade for a short, chunky haircut?

What's the best texturizer/pomade for a short, chunky haircut? I have short, straight, very thick hair that falls to my shoulders and i'm looking for a pomade or texturizer that would make the messy look and the volume stay in place for the day. Any suggestions for products i can buy at target or walmart? Thanks guys!
