What brands of hair pomades and creams did men wear 1920s-1950s?

What did the old film stars like Rudolf Valentino, Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, and others use in their hair to get that slicked back wet look? Probably Brylcreem, but what other brands did they use?
Are there any websites that list products used by certain movie stars?
