I would suggest the Chi. It retails for a little over $100, but I bet you could find one for a lot cheaper on ebay. Good luck!

I Know This Really Really Good Flat Iron Called "Chi" By Conair. I Know Because I Have Really Puffy Hair Too. And It Only Cost $50-$60 Depending On The Store. It Works Better Than Any Of Da Other Flat Irons That I've Ever Used, And I Have Had About 5-10 Different Ones So I'm Not Lyin.
Hope It Helps Ya

Any Ion iron helps. They don't make hair look bad and they don't threaten it.
You can look at Walgreens, or Wal mart.

Save your money a little longer and buy a flat iron that is one of the best in the world. It's called the True Ceramic Pro, and you find it at: officialseeontv.com/trueceramicpro.html. You won't be sorry again.

i also have really thick and puffy hair. they say the same things about me when i get my hair cut. i have a straightener from walmart. it cost $25 and actually works really well. i love it. it only takes me about 15 minutes to straighten it. it is a conair. it is one of those wet/dry ones. it has red plates and the outside is black. i hope it helps. good luck.
