Default How do I get wavy hair without using a curling iron?

I have thick, straight hair. I want my hair to look naturally wavy for some occasions. When I use a curling iron or rollers, they look unnatural. Any suggestion??

thanks ??

You could take chunks of your hair and braid it while it's damp before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning (when the braids are almost dry), unravel them and rake through your hair using a little shine serum concentrating on your ends until you're satisfied with the result. Good luck!

I read an article about an easy way Heidi Klum makes her hair wavy. After you wash your hair, put mousse in it and blow dry it (I put my head upside and just use my fingers - no brush -for extra body). Immediately after, while your hair is still warm, separate your hair down the middle as you would do for pigtails. Then separate each side the opposite way. So you have four squares of hair. With each square twist your hair and make a mini bun. Leave your hair like this for a half hour or so. Once you pull your hair separate the twists with fingers and spray with aerosol hair spray. If you want it wavier separate your hair into more squares for more mini buns. Hope this makes sense it is hard to explain without showing you.

Try using Loreal Paris Studioline springing curl enhancing mouse. It controls frizz and leaves hair nice and volumes. It may just leave your hair looking a bit wavy. If not try those Remington rollers they work really good, just put hair spray so they stay intact. Trust me this is a great product, you won't be disappointed!!

Have you tried using Mousse on wet hair? The other option is to use a curling iron, BUT afterward tousle the curls to loosen them up or comb through with fingers. This way you'll have waves instead of curls.

You could try using a scrunching gel, such as the Frisky Scrunching Gel by TIGI, which you apply to damp hair and then scrunch with your fingers to activate.
