My hair is straight already, very long, med. thickness. I heard Chi is the best so i was wondering what type should i get the 1'' (its the black one) or 2'' (its the black one with red on outside of the top and bottom of paddles) thanks so much

Well the only difference really is that the 2" one will get your hair done a little bit faster. I have long wavy frizzy hair and I have the 1" one and I LOVE it. This is the only brand of flat iron I'll ever buy again. But it doesn't look like I'll be in the market for a new one, my Chi has lasted me 3 years and still works as great as the day I bought it!

the original black one is the best. you can curl, flip, crimp, straighten, etc. chi is great, but the biosilk iron is my fav, it's made by chi, but $50 cheaper. it's EXACTLY the same, but it heats up hotter and has a temp dial. btw, don't get the 2 inch, it's too hard to style with. i work at jcpenney salon, and i can email you a coupon 20% off for stuff in the salon and store, so email me if you want it.
