Ive never straightened my hair before and I want to do it quickly

The best result you will get is to blow dry your hair using small sections and a medium brush. Then to finish i would run the straightener over it just to finish it off. It is not good for your hair to use the straighteners on there own too regularly.

I can't stand blow dryers, they drive me crazy. Straighteners are quicker and easier- as long as you have a good one. You put the hair in and put the straightener down your hair and you are done and ready to hit the town looking fantastic.

Honestly, if you use a straightener to dry your hair it will mess up your ends, unless it is one that is specifically for it. You're best bet to get really straight hair, blow dry your hair with a vented brush that is flat. While you're drying it, heat up your straightener and then go after it.
