Default Straightening hair hair with curling iron?

Will this damage my hair? Let's say if I use it as a straightener for 5 days, will I get horrible split ends?
In other words, how long would it take to get my hair damaged (not that I want it damaged) and how bad?
I'm tired of my hair just being in a half ponytail just...there =s
*sigh* My hair stylist ran out of chi's. The thing is she only has the slender one and I need the turbo ones. They work better for me.
I want my hair to be naturally straight instead of...everywhere!

um, i would just buy a regular hair straightener. to answer your question, a curler would damange your hair badly, even if you use protective straightening serum. invest in a good straightener like a CHI. theyre expensive but they last long and your hair will look amazing.

I have straighten my hair with a curling iron. though it takes more time and you have to be more careful so you dont burn yourself since curling irons dont have the back protected plates like flat irons do. but i use heat protected leave in conditioner and spray when i use a flat iron and that helps keep my hair healthy from using the heat on it

no i straighten my hair everyday
it shouldn't get damaged if you take care of your hair
it doesn't even take much to take cae out it.
like on days you aren't doing anything special
don't wash your hair. natural oils will keep it healthy
always use condiitioner
actually purchase a deep conditioning conditioner and use that every uhh depends maybe once a week
like hair cholesteral <--spelt wrong sry
its only a couple bucks..
come with a lot
leave it on for like 30 min
it say like 5 but the longer the better..

Use a good heat protectant and good shampoo and conditioner.
