Default How do I brush or comb my dry hair after diffusing without it getting frizzy?

I have been straightening my hair for years but finally decided to work with my natural texture and learn to use a diffuser. I have thick wavy to curly hair that frizzes easily. I have successfully diffused my hair, but later in the day if my hair looks messy, I can't brush it or it will frizz out. Also, I prefer to wash my hair every other day, so when I wake up on off days, my hair is a mess and I don't know what to do to style it but avoid the frizz. I have used defrizzing serums, but have had only marginal luck with them.

Try large hot rollers..and rub your brush with a dryer sheet. You can also smooth out your hair with a dryer sheet. Keep one in your purse to use throughout the day. Use a satin pillow case at nite..keeps your hair from getting all messed up. And you can roll the ends with soft spongy rollers.

You can’t brush curly hair. I have straight hair and rarely brush it. I use a big comb to arrange it when it’s wet, blow dry, add product and style with my fingers, but rarely does a brush or comb touch my hair.

On the subject of washing, I only use shampoo three days a week, but I wet my hair in the shower every single day because my hair looks pretty scary in the morning. If you don’t want to get it super wet, pick up a cheap spray bottle at a beauty supply store and dampen your hair on the no wash days. While you’re there, you can also check out sleeping caps. Yes, they look funny, but they help your hair keep its style while you sleep and reduce the look of bed head.

I have the same hair as you. There really isn't any hope for decent looking hair on the second day. I tend to just put it up. You can't brush or comb your hair later in the day! You can get your hands wet and wrap portions of it around your fingers to get some curl to come back. You can also put some kind of product on it. Whatever you do, don't brush it! Don't even finger comb it!

You don't brush it before you use the diffuser and put some product in it then use the diffuser don't brush it after its dry because it will get frizzy again.
