Well if you have african american hair, it is best not to shampoo it daily also. If you do, your hair will become brittle, dry, and eventually break off. You have natural oils in your scalp that your hair needs to remain strong and give it natural shine. Caucasians have the same thing except you notice that they will shampoo their hair daily because it will start to look "oily" and their hair looks dirty. YOU however need those oils! Like I said, if you do it on a daily basis, you will notice your hair not as resilient or strong. So its the same thing with us all except a different outcome. During this "work out" that you are doing, it is best to go with something that stays up and out of the way... braids, cornrows, etc. You should not flat iron or blow dry your hair on a daily basis either. If you find that your scalp is just sweaty, use some sea brezze on it. Yep, its the astringent. Just like it cleans dirt and oils off your face, it will do so for your scalp. Use a cotton ball and dab it over your scalp. The difference is that you are cleansing your scalp and not drying out your hair. Good Luck!
