best bet is get the clip ins. that way even after they come out, you just put them back in.

however either way use childrens shampoo because it'll help them last longer and not peal off the glue.

My hairdresser said they should last about 6 weeks, but some of mine came loose the first time I washed my hair. Very expensive for something that lasted two days. I shampooed and conditioned very gently and carefully.

my daughter just took a class on extensions, she's a hair dresser...she says if you take care of them properly that if you get tracks..they will last 6-8 weeks, but if you get individuals they will last 3-6 months...she doesn't recommend getting the glued ones..if you are going to pay to have it done..do it right the first time...you'll be much happier with the outcome!

A "don't" would be don't even get them in the first place! They RUIN your hair! I used glue extensions for almost a year (not the same ones) and they almost destroyed my hair. The glue gets EVERYWHERE. You may think, "Well that's because you did them wrong..." But what happens when a slip of hair extensions falls out and you have to glue it back in yourself? THAT'S where the problem comes in, because you can't really see the back of your head. I suggest getting fake hair cornrowed in. I've switched to this method and it looks great! Plus it only costs 2.00 if you do it yourself! I use "Jumbo Braid" from Sallys. You can even straighten it! The only reason why it's cheaper is cause it's fake...but who cares? Slapping on extensions with some glue is just as fake. I really don't suggest getting bonding (glue) extensions. It is just not worth it. Just keep in mind there are MANY other options...affordable ones at that.
