Default HELP! Quick. Haircare professionals!?

I just tried the apple cider vinegar home treatment for dandruff. I know your supposed to massage it into your scap and leave it on anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. I've had it on 5 maybe 10 minutes and my scalp is starting to burn, pretty much in the places i was having most dandruff. Is this normal? Does that just mean its fighting off the dandruff?? Should i take it down? help!

This is bikerdude's Mom! I am a hairdresser and what you are doing is similar to pouring alcohol on an open wound! It will burn and bad especially if you have been scratching it. What you need to do is break down and buy some professional products such as Redken anti-dandruff shampoo. It is the best out there and should help you. Also, when this clears up you need to switch to a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help with the dryness. This time of year is really hard on every ones hair. Hope this has helped you!

I'm no pro, but if it's burning, rinse it off quick!

It's not suposed to burn so take it off. Just use head & shoulders.
