Default bi-racial hair care/ conditionings?

i have mixed curly hair and its not 'black hair' however i still like to put oils in it from time to time just to keep the mostuire, however i have spiltends and i feel like theres some homemade remedy out there to better help and condition my hair, ive heard eggs and mayo (yuck) are these true or are there other things i can try that dont cost alot.. maybe even something i can make in the kitchen.. thanks for all the help and im looking forward to any answer that are sent my way
maybe i should have clarified i know i needa trim and i did get one, however is there away of preventing major splits in the future or having beautiful very healthy and shiny hair?

Try using olive oil. Heat up the olive oil in the microwave so that it's warm...but not hot to the touch. Comb it through your hair and leave it in for about 10 minutes and then rinse in the shower. It might take more than 1 shampooing to get it all out though.

In the future, try looking for products that don't contain alcohol! Alcohol severely damages your hair.
