What I have done for years, and also a friend of mine who is bi-racial is mayonnaise treatments. There are any numbers of recipes for it, but any combo works wonders! You can either buy a Mayonnaise or Cholesterol treatment from the store, but the hone-made stuff is better in my opinion. One way to make a large batch is mix a jar of full-fat mayo with a cup of olive oil. Mix it up well and store in a glass jar. For a one-use batch, mix about a cup of mayo, 1/2 cup olive oil and one egg yolk together. Either recipe, slather a good amount on wet hair (use as much as you like) and really work it through. Leave on your hair under a hair dryer or a warmed towel for at least 45 minutes. I've left it on my hair overnight, too, and it's fine. I've seen some recipes that say use a whole egg, but I tried that with a warm towel and ended up with little bits of cooked egg white in my hair.

Also if you have dry scalp, dab diluted vinegar on your scalp with a cotton ball, let sit on your hair overnight, and wash out in the morning. Make sure its 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water, or it will be too harsh.
Nettle tea (which can be found in health food stores) is good for your hair, sort of works as a clarifier and rinses all the product out of your hair.
Take a good hair, skin and nail vitamin or even prenatal vitamins. They will do wonderful things for your hair.
Hope this helps!
