Default Self-tanning Question: how long to wait?

So i got a gradual tanning mist. I know it says gradual but I am so anxious to see the results. It's been a few hours and i don't see any results. How long should I wait? Overnight? I put on three applications with resting time in between. It is nighttime. Do results usually show up in the morning?

Also, was I supposed to moisturize before or after spraying? I moisturized before, a few hours ago, and my skin is still sticky. is it the tanner or my moisturizer (i used a body butter)?
