Default Self-Tanner?!!!!?

Ok. So I have two pool partys to go to in the next two weeks.
I am VERY self-concious of my body because im kind of fat. The fact that i have stretch marks on my arms and stomach does not help the self-concious thing. What i want to know is if i use a self-tanner will it cover up the marks on my arms? I cant even wear a tank top because they show. And will the tanner come off if i swim? What tanning lotion/spray do you recommend? (I dont want to spend more that 20 dollars)
Im using cocoa butter lotion on a regular basis. Please Help
Also, im 13

Even if you use a self tanner you will be able to see the stretch marks...maybe use Palmer's lotion..it helps with stretch marks...I think it you use a self tanner it will make you too orangy...I've even tried expensive ones and you can see that it's a home self tanner...Just go natural...I don't think people will look at your stretch marks...Just go and have fun...Maybe wear a cute one piece instead of a two piece.

Self tanner may leave a residue behind you in the pool. It will most likely turn you orange if your undertone is too pale.
To be honest, it will probably look bad and is a bad idea for a pool party because it WILL come off and make a bit of a mess. (Because of the chlorine!! it doesnt mix well with DHA-dehydroxyacetone---aka self tanner )

Buy a bathing suit that is a tank top and shorts type of bikini rather then one that is more exposing.

Dont be self concious, ur 13 ur done growing at like 22, u have alongggggggggggg way to go.

awww, i doubt you are fat and every single girl has something they don't like about themselves but as I have got older I have realized that if you just accept it then people are less likely to even notice it. You need to be more confident and act like it doesn't bother you. i would kill myself at the gym trying to look like these celebrities and models until i finally realized that it's not relastic and once i just liked myself it was so much easier! BUT i know that a tan really does make you feel better so i would recommend getting a spray tan done professionally. They are usually about $30.00 and last for 10 days if you rub lotion on every morning and there are no tan lines which is great!!

hmm...unfortunately, I have to agree...the self-tanner will only accentuate the stretch marks and make them more visible. the tanner you are, the lighter the marks will be i don't know of a short-term solution, but a long-term solution may be to get Retin-A, it is a cream, but you need a dr's prescription. Many people have used it for embarassing acne, scars, blemishes, and stretch marks. It could dramatically reduce their appearance, but will take 6-8 months to work.
