Self tanning?

I want to get a nice tan within 3 days since im going to my friends for a carnival and I can't tan in the sun or a tanning bed. It just doesn't work for me. I heard that if you use Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer it works just like jergens without the smell. Have any of you tried it? If so does it work? I want to get some tonight to try it but would it irritate my acne and bacne even though its going away?
