Default Self-Tanning Lotion Tips?

I am soon going to be using the Jergens Natural Glow in Medium...I am kinda scared because humans werent made to look like an orange...or a peeled carrot. I need a lot of tips!! What should I do to prep my skin in the shower? What is the best way to look un-fake? What are some other tips??

Thanks, guys!! Happy Summer!

Well really all you do is put it on evenly on all parts of your skin. Be especially careful around joints(e.i.-knees, ankles, elbows, etc.) because it will turn an orange color if your not careful. Do not put too much on, you will know when it looks real and you feel you are tan enough.

Exfoliate before hand!!!!! This is crucial for an even tan!! The exfoliation will remove the dead skin build up and allow for a more even tan.

Also I agree with the post above, apply only minimal amounts because the self tanner is DHA which is a brown color + your pale skin (white) =a blend of orange!

Good luck!

dont forget to exfoliate first!!! (it takes off the dead skin) so that your tanner goes on more evenly and its supposed to last longer. :-)

I used that last summer. The important thing is so NOT apply too much at a time. Just little by little. Also, let it dry before putting any clothing on, otherwise the dye gets on there. Be sure to watch your hands afterwards because it will color your hands.

I've used it and am glad to say that it is the BEST tanning alternative. The only advice I could give you is to make sure to apply evenly and wash your hands after applying, or your palms will be orange. It looks very natural. No prep needed, because it is a gradual tanner.

Make sure you exfoliate your skin WELL, taking all dryness away.
