i use these self tanners all the time and before I start, I shave my legs, then loofa wherever it's going to go. That makes your surface better, because these self tanners tend to get darker wherever there's rough skin, so make sure, too, that you put thinner layer on your knees, elbows and the back of your ankles. I use the facial self-tanner because it's lighter and doesn't cause zits like the body stuff. I think you can tell the difference. Oh, you asked about a scrub--well, that would be the same as loofah, but make sure you rinse the scrub off really well so it won't pick up any tint!

Yep, it's a good idea to use the body scrub. It will give a better result and help the tan fade more evenly. Shave beforehand too, but not right before you apply the tanner, especially if your skin is sensitive.
If I use a self-tan I don't put it on my face. I use one of those facial moisturisers with a hint of self-tan instead. I think it looks more natural. Hope this helps

yes, i dont think a facial self tanner is neccessary i dont use it, just go for a light natural tan and you shouldnt need it cause you dont want to get the wrong colour especially not on your face and your face gets more sunlight than other parts of your body anyway. And i advise you to use an exfoliating scrub or a body brush whilst in the shower then shave this will reduce the chance of you getting ingrown hair but if you do get them pluck them out with a pair of tweezers then dry yourself and apply the self tanner make sure if its a cream you rub it in thoriughly this will reduce the chance of you getting tan lines. Good luck xx
