does spraying perfume on your chest & neck cause acne? i've noticed that since i stopped wearing perfume on my chest/neck the amount of chest acne had decreased. then a couple days ago i wore perfume there & the acne came back. sheer coincidence? or does perfume cause acne??

Most perfumes contain alcohol, which typically dries up the skin. Maybe your skin just has a reaction to the type you are wearing.

I haven't heard of cases where perfume caused acne, but it might be something else. Maybe it is an allergic reaction? I would look in the ingredients, and search up any other stories about that perfume brand. Maybe other people have had some reactions along with you!

I doubt it is causing acne but instead it is probably irritating that sensitive skin...dont spray it directly on your skin - lay your shirt on a table or bed and spray the perfume on it...then abt 5-10 mins later put the shirt on.
That way you get the scent without the irritation

well, you could be allergic to the chemicals in the perfume. you could read the ingredients and ask your doctor if you are allergic to any of them. if worse comes to worse, just switch perfumes. Good Luck!
