Default Need suggestions on how to get the glue under a lable on a plastic jar off.
Nail polish remover didn't work. I already soaked it in hot water & got the paper off and now it is sticky. The nail polish remover made it worse.

Hi. Use the product "Goofoff". It is wonderful and a little goes along way.

A hair dryer works well. It softens the glue whereby you can scrape it off pretty easy,then warm soapy water should do the trick.

Try either rubbing alcohol OR any oil- cooking oil or wd-40.

Spray it with some WD-40 spray, let is soak then scrape off. Re-wash it also.
