Is black nail polish cool or tacky? Is red tacky or chic? What is your fave style/ color? I personally favor French manicures.

I like light pinks, blues, and purples that are shiny.

Black nail polish is in as long as its shiney and not a dull black, so use a top coat. Red nail polish is great for fall and winter, but try using a deep cranberry red instead of fire engine red, and i love pink nail polish but it really all depends on your skin tone.:0)

black is good as long as it is shiny. I love french manis 2. Red doesn't look good on most people. depends on ure skin tone. the tanner u are the better it looks on u

black nail polish tends to look a little goth or tacky, and it can make your skin tone look gross.
if you really want to use something dark, try a deep brown, it's less harsh. i use o.p.i.'s 'espresso your style.'

as for red, as long as you use a good, bright shade that isn't too bluish, it looks great. i'd recommend orly's 'haute red.'

I like shiny black polish but I think it will not suit on me so I don't wear it as for the red one it is COOL and i love it in any season but mostly it looks cool in the summer especially the bright one well that's what I think.My fave is Red, Pink and Blue.

Like she said glossy black looks good with anything. Red makes me feel like a hooker. I usually go with a light silver light pink and black.
