I wear very dark black eyeliner all around my eye. I have big, dark brown eyes. Everyone thinks that my eyes are enhanced and look fabulous like this including my boyfriend and even my grandmother. Except for my mother doesnt like when I wear it like that. Is she right? Should I go lighter?

I agree with everyone else, i have brown eyes and i never go anywhere withouth wearing my dark black liner. =) If you want you can also try navy blue. I recently saw it in a magazine and i fell in love with the way it looked. I love wearing it now b/c its still dark, but it also has a bit of color to it. Sometimes ill even put my black liner on and then put a lighter colored liner over it , just for a little extra something. Do what you like hun

Brown eyes look best with purples, greens and sparkly browns. I suggest a plum colored eyeliner with purple eyeshadow, and some browns blended with the eyeshadow.

I find that dark grey is a bit softer looking while giving a "smokey" look whereas black can look a bit harsh and trashy. It won't hurt to try it.

well i have big brown eyes and i do the same thing so i think you should keep it the way you have it.
