Default Whats the shelf life of a new unopened loreal volume shocking mascara?

I just bought one about two weeks ago and I really like it. It is expensive so I have been watching to see if it ever goes on sale. This week Rite Aid has it for buy one get one free. If I just buy it and save the two unopened packages , how long before it expires?

I think that if you don't open it you're ok. Because what causes it to expire is bacteria in the oxygen that gets inside when you open it. I know that 3 months is the longest that you can keep mascara because after that the bacteria can irritate your eyes really badly. My friend tried using old mascara and she had to stop b/c it hurt to blink. Hope this helps!
