Default Concealer problem?

I have these dark ashy brown circles under my eyes, not from lack of sleep but rather genetics. I'm a british born chinese gal, so my skintone has a yellowish tint to it but i'm not as tanned as other oriental girls who lives in hot climates. I heard for under eyes you should get a shade or two lighter than your skintone so i've tried various concealers such as Maybelline Mousse concealer in natural and Rimmel clear complexion in ivory. Both just made my dark eyes appear more obvious than before. The shades definately lightened the area but the ashy brown colour is still there behind the concealer, I heard green concealers cancels out red blemishes and purple concealer cancel out yellow blemishes (and vice versa), but I have this ashy brown tone next to fair yellow tinted skin so i'm a bit confused on shades. Help!

Try giving a yellow concealer a try. Benefit do one called Lemon-aid and Lily Lolo do one too. Get a sample before you buy and ask at make-up counters for them to show you what to do with the product.

i have dark circles under my eyes too which look so bad cos i'm so pale. i just use my normal foundation (max factor lasting perfomance) and i think it covers them quite well.

I'm a european asian and i have the same problem. alot of concealers tend to have a pink undertone and we definately need a yellow undertone. i found a product called vichy dermablend that works very well - even in this hot weather it stays put. I would advise that you get the vichy dermablend trial kit, it gives you all the tones available and there should be a tone there that will match you're skin tone perfectly. the kit is about £5. the full pots cost about £15 but last for months, i have one that i've been using for 6 months now and its still has enough for another 3. you dont need alot and you just use it to cover the dark marks, you also need a setting powder that will keep it in place for up to 12 hours. If you google the products you will find online stockists - sometimes you can get it on Ebay. Hope this helps xx
