Default Do I need to wear foundation and concealer?

I'm new to the whole foundation and concealer thing. If I want to cover up under eye circles, blemishes, and uneven skin tone, which one should I use? Do I need to use both, and should they be the same shade? I also read somewhere that after applying concealer you should brush over powder to set it...would it be all right to apply concealer and then set it with foundation powder? Lol sorry, I know I have a lot of questions but one more...could you recommend a brand that makes good foundation/concealer products for cheap, preferably available at CVS? Thanks.

All of these answers would depend on your skin type. Concealer for under eyes should always have a pink under tone and be a little lighter then your real skin tone (no more than a shade lighter) I prefer a tinted moisturizer for my whole face. I prefer the sport one from cover girl or almay makes one, if you need to go with a drug store brand. I personally am not into the mineral make up because it is to thick for me. If I am going for an evening look or need a little extra coverage I do have a loose powder that I use to set my make up. Its mostly translucent though. I know the world of foundations can be tricky. It will be mostly trial and error for a while. I don't know if you have one in your area, but RightAid, will let you return opened make up if it doesn't work for you (wrong shade, to thick) Good Luck!

It really is up to you: you can either apply concealer, then (liquid) foundation, and then set it all with powder, OR you can apply the concealer and set it with foundation powder. Also, it is typically recommended that your concealer be a shade or two lighter than the foundation you use. If you want an even skin tone, that is what foundation is for, but concealer is typically for blemishes and under eye circles. Ok, I know my answer was all over the place, but I hope it helps a little

Apply concelaer, then foundation, then powder to set it. Although I tend to skip the foundation part since I don't like to wear a ot of makeup and just use concealer and powder. They should all be around the same shade but if your concealer is a little lighter it's okay it's easy to blend. Covergirl and Loreal are good makeup brands with decent prices. Concealer, Foundation, and Powder are things you should invest a little more money in to get the best look for your face.
Hope I helped!!

It all depends on what you want to cover. But first, it's important to moisturize your face so they won't be flaky after you apply them. Say for pimples, you'll need a lighter concealer that your skintone and yes you can cover it with powder foundation. Foundation should be the same color as your skintone, it should "disappear" (blend) when you apply it.

For under eye circles, the yellowish concealer will do and you may or may not want to put a lot of foundation over this because it might be overdone.

Anyway, if you have a nice skintone, like your skin is not oily and you have even skintone, you can absolutely skip foundation and just use loose powder.
