Default primers, toners, concealers!?

ok so i want to learn about using makeup even though i am 20 and i don't use makeup all that often. anyway the exhausting thing is sorting whats needed and whats just extra.

so my question is do you really need a primer for everything? do you need a toner and concealer? or are they just good things to have in your cosmetic bag just in case?

i would say that the concealer and face makeup really depends on the quality of the skin and its appearance. however i do suggest urban decay's primer for your eyes. it really makes the color more pigmented and last longer.

You don't need a primer or toner...All i ever use is concealer...it works great as long as you don't use to much....or get the wrong shade....it helps if you have friend that knows what she is doing...i would recommend after you use the concealer though you wash your face before you go to bed or you may break out or get acne.

I only use tinted moisturizer, I used to do the whole make-up thing and it was such a head ache. I suggest you get a liquid foundation if you have un evened toned skin, powder if your skin is fine, or if your skin is nice, non at all. Then maybe a few eye shadows that match your skin tone, mascara, and lip gloss (if your dead set on waring make up) AND NO MORE. Make up is way too easy to over do, and really is just a head ache. If you feel that you look fine without it (and most women really do) then dont start.

I put on liquid cover-up (sometimes I mix with acne lotion) as my "base" then a powder / bronzer over that, then my eye makeup, and mascara last to cover any powder left on your lashes! Good luc

It really depends on the face you are working on. Different skin has different needs. Also consider the purpose. If you are just out and about, I think at you age you don't need all that, If your at a photo shoot, are being filmed the need changes.

toner is good to get a fresh feel before you put it on. Concealer is needed if you have acne.

a good toner-witch hazel
