i am darkskin and i want to buy maybelline's instant age rewind perfector concealer. my complexion is chocolate with dark spots and acne. should i buy the medium or the dark? i want to get the right shade so should i get the medium which is lighter than my complexion or the dark which is a little bit darker than my complexion? i am only buying concealer no other makeup. please help. plan to buy today. also, is concealer good for covering dark lines under the eyes?

i am on a budget. can i buy the concealer by itself? will it look alright by itself? will it get the job done? covering up dark spots and pimples if i get the one lighter than my skin?

It should be slightly lighter, but also bring your foundation with you, if you use foundation - because if you pick out a concealer with the wrong tint (say it's yellowy or more blush-based) & your foundation is completely different, for example, the concealer will stick out a lot in artificial lighting, especially if you haven't blended thoroughly.

It's kinda tricky. You don't want it too light, but better too light than too dark. Too dark will make your face look dirty or blotchy. I'd recommend also getting a powder to dust over your whole face after using the concealer to help set it and to even out your skin, because it's almost impossible to match your skin perfectly.

Concealer does cover dark lines under the eyes. The concealer u have to buy has to be slightly lighter than ur complexion. If its to light u will look like a wierdo. It has to match undertones in ur skin.
