Well the only difference really is that the 2" one will get your hair done a little bit faster. I have long wavy frizzy hair and I have the 1" one and I LOVE it. This is the only brand of flat iron I'll ever buy again. But it doesn't look like I'll be in the market for a new one, my Chi has lasted me 3 years and still works as great as the day I bought it!
