Liquid foundation has a tendency to cake into those very things you are trying to cover. I prefer minerals, like Avon or Bareminerals (I use them both) they do not cake on and draw attention to the things you are trying to disguise, and it looks much more natural. If I ever do use Liquid (eek) I use a sponge to apply, as it makes the foundation go on smoother and more even. Tell your friend that less is more. It took me a while to learn and become confident with that, but it's true.
