I have had my hair every color of the rainbow, and I wash it and then a few hours later I dye it. Just don't dye your hair black, it so hard to change it back again.

It only hair, it will grow out, if you don't like it. also if the color is not right, to dark, use a Dandruff shampoo (Head and shoulders) to lighten it.
