depends on how your hair is like. normally if you straighten your hair, put some hairspray at the roots. preferably the kind that holds and sprays a continual mist. spray it a few times (only on the roots) & using a comb, brush downwards. this is called teasing or backcombing. keep repeating this process on your whole head & your hair will look very volumized & messy. you might want to pat it down though because you will look very crazy if you dont. also, you might want to try wax. gatsby hair wax is the best 8)
